This policy explains what personal information Romaccio collects when you visit or buy from romaccio.co.uk, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it. We handle your information in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

1. Who we are

Romaccio is a trading name of Maddens, Kortrijkstraat 223, 8930 Menen, Belgium (company number 0732.628.231). We are the data controller for the information described here. You can reach us at info@romaccio.co.uk or on +32 499 20 02 54.

2. What we collect

Information you give us: your name, delivery and billing address, email address, phone number, and the contents of any message you send us.

Order information: what you bought, when, the amount paid, and the status of your order and any return. We do not see or store your full card number; payments are handled by our payment providers.

Information collected automatically: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you viewed and how you reached our site. This comes from cookies and similar technologies.

3. Why we use it, and on what legal basis

  • To fulfil your order — taking payment, arranging delivery, handling returns and answering your questions. Legal basis: performance of a contract with you.
  • To run and protect the shop — preventing fraud, keeping the site secure, and improving how it works. Legal basis: our legitimate interests.
  • To meet our legal obligations — keeping accounting and tax records. Legal basis: legal obligation.
  • To send marketing — only if you have asked for it. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email.

4. Cookies

Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use cookies that are necessary for the shop to work — keeping your basket and your session — and, where you agree, cookies that help us understand how the site is used and measure our advertising. You can accept or decline the non-essential ones through the cookie banner, and you can change your mind at any time through your browser settings.

5. Who we share it with

We share your information only with the companies that help us run the shop, and only with what they need:

  • Shopify, which hosts our online shop and processes orders;
  • payment providers, who handle your payment securely;
  • carriers and fulfilment partners, who deliver your order;
  • analytics and advertising providers, where you have accepted those cookies.

We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information where the law requires it, or to establish or defend legal claims.

6. International transfers

Some of our providers are based outside the United Kingdom. Where your information is transferred abroad, we rely on an adequacy decision or on standard contractual clauses so that it keeps an equivalent level of protection.

7. How long we keep it

We keep order and accounting records for as long as the law requires, which is generally seven years. Information kept for marketing is deleted when you withdraw your consent. Everything else is kept only as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected for.

8. Your rights

You have the right to ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you; to have it corrected or deleted; to restrict or object to how we use it; to receive it in a portable format; and to withdraw your consent where we rely on it. To exercise any of these, email info@romaccio.co.uk and we will respond within one month.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK supervisory authority, at ico.org.uk.

9. Security

Our site runs over an encrypted connection and payments are processed by established payment providers. We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your information, although no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.

10. Children

Our shop is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our shop or the law changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
